Whoa, it has been a long time, hasn't it?! So sorry. I have no good excuse, except that my camera is acting up, and my emotions have been all over the place this past week. I've been knitting and sewing and shopping and preparing for M, and it's been a busy time.
I've also been trying to enjoy every last bit of time with Les before we are apart for two weeks. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and even though I'm not absent yet, we're already feeling it!
Baby O doesn't really like the tutu I made for her yet. Just after I snapped this pic, she started growling and trying to pull it off! It is super cute, but she doesn't totally get the appeal of dressing up yet.
She has been walking with help for quite a while now, but never totally on her own. But this last week it all turned around, and by Friday, she was walking across the room at music class, turning to give me a big proud grin when she reached the other side!
She is very excited about being able to walk, and she was a lot more confident and independent during class than she usually is.
I am really going to miss these girls while I am gone!!
Finally, here's a quick shot of the tutu outfit I made for myself hanging on the bedroom wall. (oh how I wish I had a closet!) I made a tutu and sewed it to the bottom of an Old Navy tank top. Then I added sparkly iron-on letters, and voila!
I plan to wear this in the Femme Parade at the Festival with black leggings and a little vintage black velvet hat. Perhaps I will be knitting while I march!
