No pictures this morning, as I didn't manage to take any this weekend...but there was lots of excitement around our little corner of the trailer park!
I think it was Wednesday or Thursday that our toilet started malfunctioning again. When this happens, we need to turn off the water to the entire trailer anytime we don't absolutely need it, because when the water is on, the toilet bowl fills continuously! (we also have to keep the valve open so it doesn't overflow, which means 'sewer flies' come in. Yuck.)
Believe me, you don't truly appreciate readily available running water until you don't have it! The repair that worked last time this happened didn't work this week, and we decided that it was time to buy a new toilet...one that isn't as prone to malfunction as our fancy electric one. So, off to the trailer supply store we went on Saturday, and we picked out a brand new trailer toilet, and then Les installed it in less than an hour! It's not as fancy as our old one, (it's plastic and you have to flush it with your foot) but it works, and we can have running water whenever we want, so we're very pleased.
On Sunday, Les got the crafting bug, so we went to Michael's to buy some polymer clay and made several little birds to mount on our tiny fence in front of the trailer. They are not perfect, but they are very cute and look so sweet lined up on the fence! I also got some unfinished wooden items that I'm going to paint and collage, including a trailer-shaped birdhouse!
After our crafting was done for the day, we went to the gym for the first time in a while, which was great, soI'm hoping we can manage to go more regularly. We came home and watched the L Word, and I made a yummy stir-fry with veggies from the farmer's market and soba noodles mixed in at the end.
All in all, it was a fun and productive weekend, but as usual, it was way too short!
