I, like many in the knitting community, have been obsessed with knitting cowls lately. They are a great way to use a single skein of gorgeous yarn, and wearing a cowl is like getting the warmth and style of a scarf without the fuss of deciding how to knot or drape!
Here's my latest, in Malabrigo chunky merino. It's got bobbles and cables, and I love it! Wore it last night while riding on the motorcycle, and it did a good job of keeping my neck and face warm. Plus, I think it's super cute!
I'll be making lots of these cowls for Christmas gifts, and I hope non-knitters will love them as much as we knitters do. (did I mention they are very popular among knitters right now?)
I've already made a few more, but I'm not sure yet how much I should show you of the gifts I've knit, in case people start to guess who they are for!
The other great thing about cowls? It's a quick knit and I can make them for myself when I need a self-knitting fix in between knitting gifts! Some people only knit for others, but you know me--if Mama ain't happy (and covered in beautiful accessories), ain't nobody happy!
Well, if there were one for me, I would be happy!

I would also be happy with one, but don't forget that we don't all have long necks! If I get one, you should measure by Leslie's neck length and not yours!

It's GORGEOUS! I'm making one right now, but it's just plain jane garter stitch and stockinette...but it's PURPLE :D

You go girl! I think I'm going for a loopy boa with the silk mountain, followed by a bag... or maybe a buttoned cowl just for giggles. Did I mention that its a) gorgeous, and b) was on a super good sale deal so I bought a ton!>!>
