It's been crazy 'raound here, y'all. Work has been...a lot of work. Home has been evenings that seem way too short, bits of new tv (Grey's Anatomy just isn't as fun without Gayle to watch it with!), bits of knitting (my latest sweater, pics this weekend, I hope), bits of cooking (Thai yellow curry with tofu and leftover chicken, tomato-spinach curry with lentils and chicken, hamburger helper that was a special request from Les, and which I will NOT be making again for a LONG time), bits of reading (thank God for the public library!), bits of missing the motorcycle, bits of blog reading...
Les was sick this week with a bad cold, and maybe that's what made the week seem so frenetic, or maybe it was the cranky babies, one of whom is so close to walking it may happen for reals TODAY, and one of whom can't crawl and isn't going to if he screams every time I put him on the floor! Maybe it's the weather, which is fine, as usual (ugh), and not at all fall-like.
I am SO yearning for lovely autumn weather--crisp air, colorful leaves, the scent of woodstoves on the breeze, the promise of snow...I always get depressed around this time of year in California, when I am reminded that there is no hope for fall or winter here for me. Ugh.
Anyway, it's time for me to get ready for work. Find a t-shirt to wear with my jeans, as I do every day, since it's too warm for anything else, and put together my lunch bag with a container of leftovers, a stick of string cheese, and a bag of nuts.
In the meantime, check out the pattern for the new sweater I'm knitting HERE.
