This is the haircut she gave me last week for her big Junior Stylist test (she also did the color, which you can see better in the small picture). Please ignore the suggestive picture on the computer in the background it's a commercial, I swear!
Yesterday I went in and she washed and styled and cut some more, and it was time for her test. I was so nervous for her, I felt like I was the one being tested! But, she passed, and they said mine was the best haircut (I was 'short women's' and she also had 'bob' 'long women's' and 'short men's').
Today, I went in again, and she gave me the cut I wanted...
It looks great and I'm in love with it, and of course, for church or other times when I need to look respectable, I can just comb it down and no one will be the wiser.
I'm happy I got this cut today, because I'm leaving in a few short hours for Michigan, and two weeks in the woods. You might think that two weeks of camping with lots of hippy granola womyn with a Y types would mean I wouldn't care about my hair, but you would be wrong.
A lot of dressing up (and dressing down) goes on at Festival, and I have quite the collection of cute dresses, cowboy boots (and hat), and jewelry all packed up. In fact, I just thought of another skirt I should pack...
Well, this means goodbye for two weeks. No computer, no cell phone, and rationing my ipod use. YAY!
I promise to be a better blogger when I get home, and certainly when school starts up again. I'll have lots of things to show and tell, including, hopefully, my Thermal sweater that has only one sleeve left to go!
