So, It's Saturday night. I'm home in California, working on my sermon for tomorrow. Of course, I have a cold (my 6 hour flight yesterday did not help), and I'm preaching in the morning, and I have lots written, but none of it is very good yet.
My tummy is full of soup that Gayle made with lots of garlic for my immune system, and I'm drinking water and taking tons of vitamins, and I just hope I have a voice tomorrow and am not too sniffly in the pulpit!
Anywho, I thought I'd take an eensy break to start with the X-Mas pictures, cause I know you've all been waiting patiently for them.
This was Christmas eve, as we shifted the presents around so we could move the tree into the center of the living room (the better to dance around).
She says you are mistaken if you think I look like my father because, and I quote, "Cordelia has a cute button nose, and Daddy has a big nose!" So there.
Sisterknits' birthday is on Christmas Day, so it is a big present time for her. Especially because she has not one, but TWO stockings! Here she is opening them--the big red one is what they put her in at the hospital when she was born, though I don't think that means Santa should have to fill it every year!
She's still in Maine for a few more days, enjoying having Mommy all to herself, I'm sure. We did get to spend some quality time while we were both there, talking 'til 4 am, shopping, driving, and even going to a movie (The Holiday, which I really enjoyed).
OK, back to my sermon...next post, I'll discuss the gifts, both given and received!
