Hi everyone, did you miss me?
I'm in Minneapolis, and heading up to the cabin in northern Wisconsin tonight for the long weekend. Needless to say, lots of knitting and sewing will take place, as well as singing, coffee-drinking and listening to stories from friends and relatives 40-60 years older than me! I can't wait, although I'm not looking forward to the Friday night traffic up north.
I've been working on my red lace scarf, and it's coming along quickly now. I've also been cross-stitching, and it's looking perfect, though going slowly. It's not too hot and humid here yet, and I've been visiting all my old haunts, which is fun but bittersweet too.
We had an emotional night when I flew out here, as Eva left for Germany the next morning. She called on Tuesday to let me know she got home safely, and I'm thinking seriously about my spring break plans for next year. Germany could be a possibility!
OK, Sorry for the picture-less post, and for the absence. When I'm home from vacation I'll have lots of stories and pictures for you, but for now it's time to go up to the cabin! Happy Fourth of July!
