Hi All, here's another quickie for you from London.
Today I went to the Victoria and Albert museum, but due to transportation troubles (Just before my train came, Everyone was evacuated from the Liverpool station because of a security threat! I think it was an unattended bag, and it took almost an hour before I was on the train again), I had less time at the museum than I would have liked. I covered the first floor, though, including a big fashion exhibit and an exhibit about India. It was great, and I could spend several more days just at that museum alone. <sigh>
Yesterday I did the British Museum, and saw lots of Greek and Egyptian statues and artifacts. Did you know you are allowed to take pictures in a lot of London museums?! It's crazy! I did get some, not sure yet if they were good or not.
Last night we went to see ''Happy Endings,'' the first movie of the 2006 London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. It was a great movie, and Lisa Kudrow was in it, and she was at the screening! The theater was amazing, apparently the biggest movie theater auditorium in Europe! It has leopard print upholstery and a bright pink curtain, and a neon organ that changed colors and rose up out of the stage, with an organist in red playing old favorites before the film. It was quite an experience!
